- EzProcessPro proves to be beneficial
Ease of use
and a picture-based format are just two reasons retailers repeatedly
praise EZProcess Pro. Both Texas Sleep and Sound near Dallas and
Modern Home Relics in Redlands, Calif., have only been on-line
a few months, but are already recognizing the system's many benefits.
Andrew Turner,
owner of Modern Home Relics, says he had an experience with a
previous software system that turned out to be "a mess"
for his 8-year-old, 5,000-square-foot lifestyle store. Turner
was at the San Francisco Furniture Market complaining to his previous
software company about the system's pitfalls when he learned about
EZProcess Pro.
"I stood
right there while they showed me how everything works," says
Turner. "It was awesome. I needed something simple, user-friendly,
affordable, and that I didn't have to take a two-week course to
learn. Because it's Internet-based, I don't have a whole department
to handle the system. It's a lot like navigating a secure website,
and employees only use what they need. Most of my business is
special order. I do not have a lot of inventory, and I don't have
a warehouse. So employees just look at the online catalog and
write the sale. It's great!"
Lonnie Watterson,
owner of Texas Sleep and Sound, says EZProcess Pro works well
for his operation, which includes a full-line retail shop and
a wholesale business with such lines as American, Standard, and
Ashley.
"It just
does so much, and being picture-based really helps a lot,"
says Watterson. "That got me excited because I can put a
whole line on the system so when employees are looking for pieces,
the pictures pop up."
Watterson's
previous system, written by a relative, had the ability to handle
the retailer's basic needs.
"I thought
it was a great system, but when I found EZProcess Pro, I realized
how much we were missing," he says. "So many programs
out there are geared mostly toward accounting, but this has so
much point of sale - so much to help you grow your business."
Watterson
says he spent three days in Houston training on the EZProcess
Pro system. Once activated, he says he can access it from anywhere
using a laptop and wireless server.
"I tell retailers 'I've got this new system that runs my
business' and they say, 'yeah, yeah,' but when I bring out my
laptop and show them, they realize what a strong sales tool I
have," says Watterson.
Adds Turner,
"I could be sitting in an airport lounge and access my sales
figures for the day. I like that."
Although the
systems have been in place for only a short time, both retailers
say that employees are learning that EZProcess Pro helps create
more business. Watterson, who has 10 employees, says that they
pull up customer names from the system to send thank you cards,
invitations to special events, or reminders about sales.
Turner's employees
have already learned what they need to know about EZProcess Pro
and "are seeing great results."
He maintains,
"To listen to me glow about a computer system is unusual.
I think this company is going to be tops in the home furnishings
industry."
